Our First Day
Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath opened its doors for the first time on 1st September 2008. Our 24 children happily joined their classes – Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class. They were joined by brothers, sisters and parents. We were delighted to see Grandmothers and Grandfathers here also.
We are very proud of our wonderful school and would like to thank all those who helped to get it ready. The children are very happy with their school and are really trying to use their Gaeilge.
They are used to the school day and the school work. Múinteoir Rita and Múinteoir Eoghan (principal) are working hard to increase the children’s level of Irish – and they are making rapid progress. Great Irish can be heard from the children during the day.
The staff would like thank all the parents who chose to send their children Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath for their support and encouragement. We would also like to thank the set-up committee for their dedication and enthusiasm in setting up such a wonderful Gaelscoil for those living in and around Greystones.

School Premises Update
After 6 weeks sharing a building with the Greystones Educate Together school, we received the keys to our own building on Thursday 9th October. We would like to thank the members of the school and their set-up committee for their support and assistance.
We would like to thank all the parents who helped with the move. The children were very happy with their new school and enjoyed exploring the new building on our first day there.
